Privacy policy
What we collect when you ask for a quote, why, and how long we keep it.
This policy explains what Highgate Detail Co. (“we”) collects when you use highgatedetailing.com or book a detail, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- When you request a quote: your name, mobile number, email address if you give one, your town, details of your vehicle, where it will be, your notes and the photos you add.
- When you book and pay: the date and place of the visit and a record of the payment. Card payments are handled by Square, and Venmo and Zelle payments by those services and the banks; we see the sender’s name and the amount, and never receive or store card or bank account numbers.
- When you visit the site: Cloudflare, which protects and delivers the site, processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type. We do not use advertising cookies. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them; see Cookies below.
How we use it
- To price, schedule and carry out the detail, and to text you about your quote and booking.
- To text you a reminder when your vehicle is due, only if you ask for reminders on the quote form.
- To keep the records that tax law requires.
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
Photos
We use the photos you send to price the detail. We photograph your vehicle before and after the work for our records. We post a photo of your vehicle only with your permission, with the license plate hidden, and never with your address.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the business for us: our hosting and email providers, Cloudflare, and the payment services named above. Each receives only what it needs to provide its service. We disclose information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and their photos for 12 months and then delete them. We keep payment records for as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
You may ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you. To stop reminder texts, reply STOP to any of them.
Write to [email protected].
Cookies
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept cookies. If you choose “Accept all cookies”, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see how far people get through the quote form, so we can improve the site. It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which last up to two years. Google’s advertising features are switched off, and we do not use the data for ads.
If you choose “Decline”, we set no analytics cookies and load no analytics. Your choice is kept in your browser so we do not ask again. You can change it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. The quote form keeps your answers in your browser until you send them; that is not a cookie and is never sent to us before you press send.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page.
